Privacy policy

Chill & Chamber is published by Type 5 Marketing LLC. This policy explains what we collect when you visit, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages get read and which links get clicked. It records things like the page you viewed, roughly where in the world you are, your device type and browser, and how you arrived. Google processes this data on our behalf; their handling is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

We also record an event when someone clicks a product link, noting which merchant and which page it happened on. That is how we tell whether a page is useful. It is not tied to a name or an email address.

Contact form.If you send us a message we receive the name, email address and message you typed. We use them to reply to you and for nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list — we do not have one.

Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request logs including IP addresses, as any web server does. These are used for security and to operate the site.

What we do not collect

• We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, ever.
• We do not run a newsletter or a mailing list.
• We do not have user accounts, logins or profiles.
• We do not take payments, so we never see card details.
• We do not run advertising networks or retargeting pixels on this site.

Affiliate links and cookies

Product links on this site route through /go/on our own domain and then redirect to Amazon with our Associates tag attached. When you arrive at Amazon, Amazon sets its own cookie so it can attribute a purchase to us. That cookie belongs to Amazon and is governed by their privacy notice, not ours. We never see what you bought, what you paid, or who you are — we see only aggregate commission totals.

Cookies we set

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish one visit from another. We set no other cookies of our own: there is no login, no cart and no personalization on this site to need them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will work normally without them.

Your choices

• Opt out of analytics. Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or use any browser setting or extension that blocks analytics scripts. Nothing on this site is gated behind analytics.
• Avoid affiliate cookies. Note the product and search for it yourself. We would rather you found the right product than that we earned a commission.
• Ask us to delete your message. Email info@chillandchamber.com and we will delete the contact-form correspondence we hold from you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of personal information we hold about you, and to object to it. Since the only personal information we hold is what you typed into the contact form, exercising those rights is usually a single email to info@chillandchamber.com. We do not charge for this and we do not require you to justify the request.

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California’s privacy laws, so there is no “Do Not Sell” mechanism to offer — there is nothing to opt out of.

Children

This site is intended for adults buying bedding. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Data retention

Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics configuration. Contact-form correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle your message and any follow-up, and is deleted on request.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data we will update this page and change the date at the top. We do not consider a date change sufficient notice for a material change, so anything substantive will be described in the text rather than slipped in.
